Tom_Ferrari 458 Speciale

As I was pouring over my first ever Ferrari 458 Speciale, Tom drove past in the background in his Speciale. As he was standing by his car and since I always find it more interesting to talk to the people behind the cars than stare at the cars themselves I made my way over and introduced myself. Tom very quickly won me over as one of the most generous individuals with a love of sharing the "Ferrari Passion". We discussed his love of the cars, a brief history of previous Ferrari's and moved on to general car talk. It was fascinating and refreshing hearing Tom describe his genuine interest in a Honda S2000 parked several spots down from the 458. This to me is the sign of a true car enthusiast at heart.

Later in the day he gave people attending the track day ride-alongs. Think what you may but generosity to me, in the context of this website is giving people you just met rides, on a track, in a rare thoroughbred Italian supercar that is more often destined to the garage than the roads. People like Tom are heroes to some degree; They share, they teach, and most importantly they inspire.
