If we define a hero as someone that helps you achieve a dream, then my heroes came in the form of Jeff & Stacy! I met them during dinner prior to the Ferrari track day at Gingerman. They are good long time friends with one of my closest friends (Nick). As the evening went on and conversation flowed, I came to realize that it's very seldom in life that one comes across a group of people this down to earth and inspiring. We exchanged stories and laughs  (one of their stories in particular about biking and finger cramps rendered me to tears and the delivery could give the best professional comedians a good run for their money). Jeff, Stacy, Nick...if you're reading this, you know which story I'm talking about.

After dinner, we stepped out to glance over the cars (above picture) and chat about what the track day will be like, it was at this moment that Jeff casually mentioned giving me some ride-along time and letting me drive the Ferrari. Let's keep a few things in mind, we had just met a few hours ago and they offered me the opportunity to DRIVE their FERRARI on a TRACK!! I gave them both a huge hug and we split ways. Jeff gave us a little taste of what the next day would bring by giving the 458 some gas on the way out of the parking lot. Here is what we witnessed:

The next day we met up nice and early for the driver debrief and made our way to the cars. Nick had his Nissan 370Z at the track, I had my Nissan Murano (OH YEAH!!)...regardless of being allowed to take it out on the track during the "brake" period, I didn't want to tarnish everyone's weekend with my own fatality. After everyone got some track time in and got used to the circuit, Jeff started giving friends ride-alongs in the car. During the brake, they handed me the keys and asked me to adjust the seat to feel comfortable when I take it out (dreams really do come true). I did as I was "instructed" and I'm proud to say that this was my first time in a moving Ferrari and I was at the wheel! The weekend went on and they continued giving ride-alongs to friends (who they made feel like family; Being Lebanese I refer to Jeff & Stacy as my white parents).

After that incredible weekend, I knew this world is a better place thanks to people like Jeff & Stacy. They are hard working, down to earth, funny, and so incredibly generous!
